Spansa Consultants & Exports, an independent partnership firm, was formed in 1993. When Spansa's Managing Director S. P. Das resigned from a Japanese conglomerate after 15 successful years of spearheading the Commodities department, the Marine Products Division at the Head Office of the conglomerate in Japan insisted on continuing with his services. Gradually, the scope of Spansa's business expanded to sourcing seafood for and from several countries, including Thailand, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, China and the Middle East.
The key factor contributing to the success of Spansa has been its ability to devise and implement simple and cost-effective solutions, improvement of on floor operational management, quality assurance, and product presentation & packaging depending on the customer requirement & resources available, ensuring price optimisation leading to quality products ensuring customer satisfaction. We implement sustainable systems to ensure product development and quality consistency, establish processing facilities for value-added seafood products.
Spansa also has experience in helping in revival and successfully running of aquaculture farms producing shrimps, Seabass, crabs fin fish.
Over the years, Spansa has developed a world-wide network of producers, processors, professionals and trading partners, enabling them to take up any commodity and challenges.

Spansa Consultants & Exports, an independent partnership firm, was formed with scope of operations in India, and as per requirement, inspections in Thailand, Australia, the Middle East, and other countries. By 1997, Spansa had opened branch offices at Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam & Chennai. This operation continued till 2004, when the Marine Products Business was transferred to a Japanese conglomerate when it started an Indian entity.
